I have seen areas designated as SFR with backhouses and converted garages, these areas need to be strictly enforced and maintained as SFR by the city. Also I think there should be a move by the planning department to reduce the amount of multi-family residences in our neighborhoods. It creates a high density that the city was not designed for, crowded streets and lower-income renters that don't properly maintain their property. Any nice neighborhood in Monrovia is a SFR district. I recently went to purchase a home above Foothill near Magnolia and the next door neighbor had a back house and 5 cars parked on the property (ghetto!) The front house was charming but the overall feel of the area made me feel like I was living on an apartment street again (obviously not what you want to feel when you are looking to buy a half million dollar + house in N. Monrovia). Look at what happened to N.W. Pasadena neighborhoods. The city let the back-house construction and house division go unchecked. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO OUR NEIGHBORHOODS!
