There are many streets and sidewalks around town and public parking lots in downtown that are in need of reconstruction. We should be sure we have a plan for funding and implementing a comprehensive resolution to these deteriorated capital improvements. Some of the deteriorated improvements set a bad example and may be discouraging private investment particularly in certain residential neighborhoods. Maybe a Mello Roos type financing program could be implemented.
